Khairuddin Aman Razali said cooperation with PKR was out of the question since it continued to attack PAS with all sorts of accusations, including one that PAS received bribes from Umno.
“PKR will need to truly repent and stop all accusations against PAS.
“PKR must declare its repentance before it can seek cooperation with PAS,” he said in a statement.
Khairuddin was responding to a statement by PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail yesterday that her party did not reject the possibility of cooperating with PAS in allocation of seats for the coming general election, despite the two former allies having severed ties three months ago.
“Our objective is to bring down the BN. If there is anything that can assist us in that direction, we will try it,” she had told FMT.
Khairuddin, who is the MP for Kuala Nerus, brushed off the PKR statement as merely an attempt to win sympathy after realising its position was threatened, especially in Selangor.
“Before this, they were arrogant and strutted around as if they were the strongest party in the world.
“PAS leaders and members will not be bitten twice by the snake in our ties with PKR. They supported luring PAS MPs to hop to their party. They had ganged up with PAS traitors. Where is the spirit of friendship?” he asked.
PAS broke off relations with PKR at the end of its last general assembly in April after saying it wanted to protect the party’s Islamic agenda.
It also accused PKR of betrayal by cooperating with others to contest against PAS in the Kuala Kangsar and Sungai Besar by-elections.
