Penang police said the public prosecutor had decided to charge the man, who is currently a village security and development committee chief, at the Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
The 21-year-old woman, who works as a part-time waitress at the outlet, claimed that the 50-year-old man sexually assaulted her at the car park adjacent to the club at about 11pm on July 6.
According to the woman’s police report, which has gone viral, the waitress alleged that the drunk man had taken her to the car park, molested her and asked her to perform oral sex on him.
The woman claimed she had refused his advances but failed to stop him. When she started crying, the man masturbated and ejaculated on her.
Later, the man apparently offered her over RM300 to “spend the night” with him. She refused and asked to be let go.
She lodged a police report at the Beach Street police station the following day.
The man was remanded for two days under Section 354 of the Penal Code for assault or use of criminal force on a person with intent to outrage modesty.
He was released on police bail yesterday.
