ALOR SETAR: A Selangor PAS Youth delegate has rejected allegations that some of the Islamist party’s leaders received money from Umno.

These include claims by PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli, linking 1MDB funds to PAS.

At the PAS Youth muktamar here today, Mohamed Sukri Omar said if the allegations were true, PAS Youth would not hesitate to show such leaders the door.

“If it is true that some of our leaders accepted money from Umno, PAS Youth will be the first to eject them from the leadership.”

He also voiced confidence that no PAS leader had accepted funds from Umno as claimed.

“Among our leaders, we can see those whose car air conditioner buttons have fallen off, so how can it be said that our leaders accept money from Umno?”

Recently, Rafizi claimed he was privy to information that 1MDB-linked money was transferred to former PAS deputy president Nasharudin Mat Isa, and that Kuala Nerus MP Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali had known about it.

Rafizi also said PAS had a duty to make sure that not a single sen of “questionable” money had been used to fund its activities.

Nasharudin has denied Rafizi’s allegations, calling them “baseless” and “irrelevant”.
