This indicates that relations between the two parties are becoming warmer, Muhyiddin said.
Muhyiddin had made many attempts in the past to forge ties with the Islamist party.
“Our (PPBM and PAS) relations are getting warmer. We are invited to PAS events almost every day. This is a good development.
“Recently, they also invited us to discuss and negotiate seat allocations for the upcoming polls.
“As a new party, we are interested in working with everyone and we won’t reject PAS’ invitation,” he told reporters after a presidential council meeting at PPBM headquarters today.
Last month, PAS and PPBM had officially formed a joint committee tasked with framing an outline for political cooperation between the two parties for the 14th general election.
But Muhyiddin emphasised that PPBM would also take into account its relationship with Pakatan Harapan.
When pressed by reporters whether PPBM and PAS’ discussions would be extended to Pakatan Harapan, Muhyiddin replied: “It’s only PPBM and PAS at this stage.”
Meanwhile, commenting on the diplomatic row between Malaysia and North Korea, Muhyiddin hoped the issue won’t be politicised by the authorities.
“The safety of all 11 Malaysians is of paramount importance at this moment.
“The government must have wisdom in dealing with North Korea.”
Yesterday, North Korea announced a temporary ban on Malaysians leaving the country. Prime Minister Najib Razak then imposed a similar restriction on North Koreans leaving the country.
