“The Penang government hopes the bereaved family will bear their great loss with patience.
“The state will provide a contribution of RM30,000 in recognition of Major Kayamboo’s sacrifice,” Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said, while conveying the state government’s condolences.
Kayamboo, 45, a father of four, was killed when the Beechcraft B200T he was in crashed during a flying exercise yesterday at the Butterworth air base in Teluk Air Tawar on mainland Penang.
He turned 45 yesterday.
Kayamboo was buried this afternoon at the Batu Lancang cemetery here.
Three other air force personnel were injured in the crash at 5.18pm.
Lim said each of the three would receive RM5,000 from the state, which wished to show recognition and appreciation for their service and dedication to the country.
“The Penang government wishes them a speedy recovery,” he said.
