
Petaling Jaya Police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din said the dead were Kun Ell Yin, 32, Kum Hok Wan, 36, Hong Ching Guan, 49, and the 52-year-old driver of the MPV who is yet to be identified.
He added that the severely injured woman was Ho Lai Lai, 41.
Another person involved in the accident escaped unhurt, but his identity was still not known.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Mohd Sani Harul said the accident happened at 1.50am when the lorry hit the MPV after veering to the right to avoid a car with a punctured tyre and crashed through the divider to the opposite side of the highway.
The dead, injured and rescued person were all from the MPV while the lorry driver was missing, he said.
The bodies were sent to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre while Ho was sent to the Sungai Buloh Hospital.
Sani said the fire and rescue department was notified at 1.58am and fire-fighters from the Damansara station rushed to the location.
