KULAI: The move to restore the Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) to its original state following a blaze on Oct 25, is subject to the federal government’s decision.

Johor Menteri Besar Mohamed Khaled Nordin said he was aware that the hospital building was unique and a historic landmark.

He told reporters this today, when asked to comment on the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar expressing a desire on Thursday at the Bangsa
Johor gathering, to see the hospital building restored to its original design.

The sultan had said HSA was a heritage building full of history and character but unfortunately, the building design had changed over the years following several renovations.

Mohamed Khaled, who had earlier launched the state-level 2016 Landscape Day celebration at Forest City, Bandar Putra Kulai here said the state government also supported Sultan Ibrahim’s call to have the people united and not divided due to political differences.

“I hope the people will take heed of the Sultan’s advice because as the head of state, he is very caring towards his people and wants to see them living in peace so that there will be continuous development in the state,” he added.
