PETALING JAYA:
A primary school teacher is being probed for alleged rape of three of his pupils at a school in Beluran, Sabah, Malay Mail Online reported.

Beluran Police Chief Supt V Sivananthan said police were waiting for lab results from the Chemistry Department to see whether there was evidence of the suspect’s DNA inside the victims.

The news portal said the teacher had been released on police bail.

He has also been transferred from the school to a non-teaching post in August in view of the probe against him.

The teacher was alleged to have raped the pupils, aged between 9 and 10, since January in certain rooms in the school during recess time.

The suspect is said to have warned the victims not to inform anyone.

However, a school staff member, who became suspicious of the behaviour of the pupils, lodged a police report in July.

The pupils involved are now undergoing counselling.

Recently, the headmaster of a school in Sabah was transferred by the state Education Department for uploading pornographic content to a WhatsApp group.
