KUALA LUMPUR:
Police arrested two suspects linked to the murder of a taxi driver whose body was found rolled up in a mattress in an apartment unit in Danau Kota, Setapak last week.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Amar Singh said the murder has been solved with the arrest of the two men, one who is said to be a Pakistani.

“We made our first arrest two days ago near the crime scene and recovered a knife, believed to be the murder weapon,” he said.

The 58-year-old victim stayed at the unit with his daughter in her 30s, and a baby girl.

Neighbours said the Pakistani suspect was always at the apartment and on one occasion, the victim was seen trying to prevent the foreigner from entering the unit.

“Yesterday we arrested the Pakistani man whom some say is the ex-husband of the taxi driver’s daughter. We are still unable to verify this.”
