This was revealed today by PKR Secretary-General Rafizi Ramli who carried out the online survey.
.
In a statement, the Pandan MP said the majority of 718 people surveyed wished to see more attention given to public welfare issues, and not merely on 1MDB and Najib.
“The results revealed that Pakatan Harapan (PH) leaders and parliamentarians should go back and fight to resolve the public’s bread and butter issues.
“Commentaries on the 1MDB scandal can no longer revolve solely around how much money was embezzled, and the wealth of the prime minister’s family,” said Rafizi.
Instead, such information had to be translated into the impact they might have on the public’s day-to-day affairs, he explained.
Rafizi also claimed that the majority of respondents believed Najib was linked to the 1MDB scandal.
Facing possible time behind bars for revealing documents classified under the Official Secrets Act 1972, Rafizi said he would use “whatever time he has left” to raise issues related to the public, such as study loans and the delayed gratuity payment to army veterans.
He will also raise issues concerning youths, such as job opportunities and “unjust” bankruptcy laws.
