
He said the organiser had flouted the laws and would be investigated under Section 4 of the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012.
“We informed (the organiser) earlier that holding any kind of public assembly must first have approval from the police because this involves public order.
“They had indeed submitted (an application) but it was rejected as they failed to submit an authorisation letter from the owner of the gathering location,” he told reporters after attending the Inspector-General of Police’s Cup Football Tournament here today.
