KLANG:
The decomposed body of a woman, believed to be a local, was found in a wheeled luggage, stuck in the Sungai Klang waste trap, Bandar Baru Klang, yesterday.

Klang Utara District Police Chief ACP Mohd Yusoff Mamat said the body was found by a cleaner about 1pm.

He said the luggage contained no identification of the body, which was suspected to have been disposed elsewhere before being swept away until it got trapped in the waste trap.

“The dead woman, believed to be in her 30s, was found wearing a singlet and green skirt. She also wore braces, was fair skinned and had long brown hair up to shoulder level,” he told reporters here today.

He said, the results of the post mortem at the Shah Alam Hospital showed no stab wounds or injuries and it could not be ascertained whether the victim was raped before being killed as the body had decomposed and it was difficult to check.

Any individuals with missing family members or who have any relevant information are asked to contact the investigating officer, ASP Ahmad Osman at 012-6794297.
