PETALING JAYA:
A body of a child, believed to have been kidnapped in Jinjang, Kuala Lumpur, last week, was found near a river in Kampung Kemensah, Hulu Kelang, today.

Berita Harian reported that the body of the child was found after the suspect in the case, who is related to the victim, led police to the location.

Last Thursday, a boy named Noor Amila Edrus Norsham, disappeared after Maghrib prayers at a surau of a public housing project in Jinjang.

Kuala Lumpur Deputy CID chief Azman Mohd Isa said police began searching the area near the river last night but failed find anything as it was dark.

“This afternoon we brought the suspect to the same location and we found the victim’s body under a ravine.

“Chances are high that the body is that of the kidnapped child, but we have to wait for confirmation from the autopsy at Hospital Kuala Lumpur.”
