PETALING JAYA:
The Selena Gomez concert organizer has already obtained all the permits for the show at Stadium Melawati in Shah Alam on July 25.

They denied reports, quoting Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali, that it had yet to apply for the permit.

PR Worldwide Managing Director R Para said all the necessary forms had been submitted to the Shah Alam City Council and approval had been obtained.

“We did all the due process and have obtained the permit from MBSA and Puspal (Central Agency for Application of Filming and Performance by Foreign Artists) to hold the concert.

“Just to make it clear that all the permits are in place, so that people can make travel plans for the concert,” Para told The Star Online on Tuesday.

He said the permit for Gomez’s The Revival Tour concert was obtained 10 days ago after the paperwork was submitted four months ago.

Para also said PAS Youth’s objection to Gomez’s concert as the singer had a sexy image was unfounded.

He said visiting artistes were usually advised to adhere to the religious and cultural sensitivities of the country they were performing in.

He said the artistes would usually follow the code of ethics and dress code strictly.

“PR Worldwide has been in the business for 20 years, and we are very careful about safeguarding Malaysian sensitivities.”
