“The song really touched me. It also serves as a message for Malaysians to honour their fathers while they are still around,” she told reporters during a press conference, at her residence here, today.
Meanwhile, Mastura said her husband, former Kuala Kangsar MP, the late Wan Mohamad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad had always encouraged Wan Imar to have his own music single.
This is because he could see his son’s talent and deep interest in music.
“He (Wan Imar) likes to write songs and has his own studio. My late husband felt rather than composing without a purpose, he might as well focus properly in the field,” Mastura explained, adding that Wan Mohamad Khair-il had also been in touch with Norman Abd Halim of KRU Music Sdn Bhd on Wan Imar’s interest in music.
Previously Wan Imar had composed seven songs and uploaded it on YouTube, Mastura said.
After the tragedy struck, in which Wan Mohamad Khair-il was killed in a helicopter crash in Sarawak, Norman called Wan Imar saying perhaps it was time to work on a single, Mastura added.
Two days ago, KRU Music released the music video of Pinggiran Syurga by Wan Imar.
In a behind the scenes video released on the same day, Wan Imar told viewers he had worked on the song for his father with composer and brother to Norman, Edry Abd Halim.
