These were the opening lyrics of the song “Pinggiran Syurga”, performed by Wan Imar Izzat, the son of former Kuala Kangsar MP Wan Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad.
In a heart-touching music video released by KRU Music Sdn Bhd on their official YouTube and Facebook accounts, Wan Imar Izzat was decked all in white while performing on a grand piano.
The video included photos of Wan Imar Izzat’s mother, Mastura Mohd Yazid, in the days following the death of his father in a helicopter crash in Sebuyau, Sarawak, on May 5.
Also released on KRU’s YouTube was a behind-the-scenes video on Wan Imar Izzat’s single, which he had worked on with composer Edry Abd Halim.
“This song is a synopsis of my prayers to God after losing my dad,” Wan Imar said in the behind-the-scenes video.
“My intention to do this song is bigger. I told Norman I want to do this song for my dad,” he said, stating that this was the best reason for him to venture into the music industry.
Norman Abd Halim is the executive president and Group CEO of KRU group of companies, of which KRU Music is part of.
“One of my dad’s words of wisdom, which has stuck with me, is that whenever we face any roadblocks in life, there is a blessing in what has been written.
“I will always look at the silver lining in every hardship,” Wan Imar Izzat added.
The video ended with Wan Imar Izzat wishing everyone a Happy Father’s Day, telling viewers to never take their fathers for granted.
Earlier, KRU Music, on their Facebook page, had introduced Wan Imar Izzat as their new artiste.
The video uploaded yesterday was also shared by Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister Ahmad Maslan on his Twitter account @ahmadmaslan today.
Meanwhile, Wan Imar Izzat is closely helping his mother, Mastura, campaign in the Kuala Kangsar by-election after Barisan Nasional (BN) announced that the widow would stand as their candidate in June 18 by-election.
