In a statement, Federal CID Chief Commissioner Mohmad Salleh said everyone should allow the “recovery” process (of the victims) to take place smoothly, without any form of disturbance.
“Anyone who reveals the identities of the victims would have committed an offence under Section 15 of the Child Act 2001, and can be jailed for up to five years, fined RM10,000, or both, upon conviction.
Mohmad also said the police had yet to receive any report from Huckle’s victims or their families.
“Anyone with information or who would like to lodge a police report on this matter, can do so by getting in touch with the Sexual, Women and Child Investigation Division (D11) of Bukit Aman by calling them at 03-22666297, or by e-mailing them at [email protected].
Huckle, 30, is currently undergoing 22 life sentences in the UK after being found guilty on 71 counts of sexual crimes against 23 children in Malaysia, between 2006 and 2014.
