State police chief Abdul Samah Mat said the suspect, in his 30s, had been identified.
This followed the arrest of his two suspected accomplices, he told reporters after attending the pinning-of-the-rank ceremony for state senior police officers at the Selangor police headquarters here today.
On a video recording of a group of men escaping in a car with stolen goods, which went viral on social media recently, Abdul Samah said police did not receive any report over the recording.
Nevertheless, he said police would investigate if there was a link to the robbery-cum-rape case.
In the incident on May 6, a woman told police she was robbed and raped about 8am after a group of men broke into her house.
The 26-year-old victim was in the midst of leaving for work when the group arrived in a Perodua Myvi.
It was learnt the suspects had also escaped with her valuables worth RM100,000.
