PETALING JAYA: The former principal of Methodist Boys School Kuala Lumpur, 86-year-old Yong Chee Seng, has died two weeks after his car plunged into a 12-metre deep construction manhole in Jalan Universiti here.
According to a source, Yong died at midnight last night. The cause of death was not disclosed.
Yong had made headlines earlier this month after the accident.
He and his maid, who was a passenger in the car, suffered multiple injuries and were sent to University of Malaya Medical Centre for treatment.
A witness civil engineer Pram Velauthan Gopal told the Star at the time that the construction site had used plastic barriers instead of concrete ones.
