RTM’s Diva producer Wan Sandari dies after illness

Colleague describes her as someone who never skimped on sharing knowledge in the broadcasting world.

Wan Sandari Wan Mohamad, producer of Radio-TV Malaysia’s Diva entertainment programme, died this morning due to stomach complications. She was 49.

Wan Sandari died at 6.15 am at her family home in Taman Tuanku Jaafar, Seremban, after finishing the morning prayers.

Her father, Wan Mohamad Long, said she had lost her appetite due to the complications, and had sought various treatments at the hospital.

The third of four siblings, Wan Sandari was unmarried.

Her remains were brought to the Tuanku Jaafar Mosque here for the funeral prayers and buried at the Senawang Muslim cemetery after Zohor prayers.

The deputy director of RTM’s TV News Section, Ramlah Johari, who said she had known Wan Sandanri for almost 30 years, described her as a diligent and dedicated worker.

Diva correspondent Mazihah Hamzah also described her as someone who never skimped on sharing knowledge of the broadcasting world.

“Her passing will be felt by all crew members of Diva,” she said.
