PETALING JAYA: Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) has rubbished claims that it has quietly frozen student loans.
Taking to Facebook, MARA chairman Annuar Musa said policy-wise, all MARA loans and scholarships would continue as usual according to the approved budget, though not all loan requests would be approved.
Annuar was responding to claims put forth by a group of youths who demanded an explanation from MARA over claims its student loans had been frozen.
He also said he understood the issues students were facing, especially those who were studying overseas and that MARA was always striving to help the students and ensure their welfare.
“MARA is working on widening our scheme by seeking additional funding.”
