PN’s triumph in polls will wipe out liberalism, says Ahmad Yakob

The Kelantan PN chief says Malaysia needs a government that could lead the people to a better path based on Islamic principles.

PETALING JAYA:
Kelantan PN chairman Ahmad Yakob says the coalition’s victory in all six state elections on Saturday would be a starting point to “cleanse” the country of liberalism.

Ahmad, who is caretaker Kelantan menteri besar, said Malaysia needs a government that could lead the people to a better path based on Islamic principles, Utusan Malaysia reported.

“I appeal to Umno members to have an open mind and join PN as the first step towards rebuilding a country that has been plagued with secularism, liberalism as well as lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) influence,” he said in a ceramah at Dataran Tok Bali last night.
