KUALA PILAH: Umno information chief Azalina Othman Said said there was no need to make a big deal of one’s decision to leave a party, saying it was an individual’s right to do so.
Azalina said that the claim by former Umno secretary-general Annuar Musa of an exodus of many of the party’s leaders and members was meant to disrupt the campaign for the state polls.
“It’s a democracy. It’s their right to quit a party or join one. There are those who leave Umno, and those who quit other parties,” she said after a walkabout with Barisan Nasional’s candidate for Juasseh, Bibi Sharliza Khalid, here, this evening.
