There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a beautifully organised wardrobe. Not only is it pleasant to the eye but it will also help you find your favourite outfits quickly.

Everyone’s wardrobe looks slightly different depending on the size, available space and their style. Regardless, here are some tips that might help you organise your messy wardrobe.

Out with the old

Recycle, donate or sell your old and unused clothing. (Kaodim pic)

Before you even begin to start thinking about organising anything, it’s time to get rid of all the old and unwanted clothes you have just laying around. You can recycle, donate or even sell those old and unwanted items. This will help you declutter your wardrobe and free up space.

Tuck away seasonal items

Put aside those items that are not used on a regular basis. Festive costumes and fancy outfits can be put in harder-to-reach places such as the top of the wardrobe. This opens up optimal spaces for everyday items. Take advantage of vacuum bags for those bulkier items such as winter outfits or hide them in your suitcases.

Create additional storage

Add additional storage around your space by placing a dresser under your hanging clothes. Install a multi-level wall shelf that doubles as storage and a display unit for your prettiest items. You can also place a freestanding clothes rack in your space. Having the rack exposed will also force you to keep your clothes organised, instead of pilling them up around your space.

Use organisers

Organisers can help keep smaller items together like your jewellery or clutches. This will make it easier for you to find your favourite pieces and also free up space in your wardrobe. You can purchase new organisers or just repurpose old boxes. Of course, don’t forget to label them.
