Subang Jaya police chief Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said their statements are needed to assist in investigations into the deaths of four people who attended the concert on Dec 31, Sinar Harian reported.
“Besides the organisers, we have also summoned the victims’ family members and friends,” he was quoted as saying.
Yesterday, it was reported that the police have already recorded statements from 15 people in its probe into the incident.
Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan was also reported to have said they were waiting for the autopsy and toxicology reports to determine the cause of death.
He said University Malaya Medical Centre had informed them that two other victims who had similar symptoms to the deceased but survived, have since regained consciousness, Bernama reported.
Based on preliminary investigation, police said the four who died were believed to have taken ecstasy.
The Pinkfish management previously said the safety of attendees and other stakeholders had always been their highest priority in holding the concert.
They also denied reports that the four concertgoers died during the event, saying that it happened only after the victims left the venue.
