If you’re looking for a luxurious location to partake of iftar with your family or friends, why not head over to one of Kuala Lumpur’s most scenic dining establishments?
TRACE Restaurant and Bar is located on the 40th floor of Element KL, and offers a gorgeous view of the city skyline as you dine on delicious delicacies.

This year, executive chef Taib Ridhwan is whipping up a buffet dinner themed “Juadah Selera Kita”, drawing from the best of Malaysia’s traditional cuisines.
A garnish of greens is a good way to break one’s fast, and the Make Your Own Kerabu station is the perfect place to do so.
Stocked with fresh local vegetables and herbs, diners can decide for themselves what goes best with ulam-ulaman, spicy dip, salted fish, and homemade crackers.

Are you from the northern part of Malaysia and are longing for homecooked food? Savour a bowl of Sup Utara, this year’s signature dish.
This savoury, meaty broth is garnished with scallions, coriander, cili padi, lime wedges and a spicy sambal sauce, which all contribute to its delectable aroma.
Throw in some salted radish courtesy of chef Taib, and you have a dish teeming with unique flavours.

Hailing from Negeri Sembilan is a well-loved dish known as claypot-style Masak Lemak Cili Api. Take your pick of smoked duck, chicken slices or smoked beef, and have it cooked “lemak”-style in coconut and turmeric broth.
The creamy gravy infuses perfectly into the tender smoked meat, resulting in a meal that is both delicious and memorable.
If you’re craving something with an Indian touch, you won’t want to miss the local-style roast lamb with briyani rice. The tender slices of meat are best eaten with a generous serving of fragrant grains.
Other delicacies like chicken and beef murtabak are also for the taking, as are Malaysian favourites such as yong tau foo and curry laksa.

Don’t forget to leave room for afters. Here you will find a great many Malay kuih, in diverse shapes and colours, as well as numerous cake options.
What would suit your plate best – cheesecake? Red velvet? Why resign yourself to just one or the other? The strawberry mousse, in particular, is to die for, while the brownies are true chocolatey goodness.

And given that it’s a Raya buffet, you simply must not skip the sweet, warm pengat pisang (banana dessert) and puding gula hangus (burnt sugar pudding).
With all these goodies up for grabs, you can’t be faulted for imagining you have to be a king to get a taste of luxury. Well, think again – the buffet is reasonably priced at RM148 for adults and RM74 for children.
So what are you waiting for? Make your reservation today and partake of this sumptuous feast!
