
Mango lassi is a popular favourite among many Malaysians, and is especially delicious and refreshing during hot weather.
This is a recipe for a rich, creamy smoothie made with fresh fruit, yoghurt and honey. All you need is five minutes and a blender for a beverage that pairs perfectly with fiery Indian food.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced, about 500g
- 4 tablespoons honey or agave nectar, or to taste
- 1 cup ice
- 1 cup or 250ml plain yoghurt
Method
- Peel the mango, slice off the flesh and discard the seed. Cut the mango into small pieces.
- Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blitz. Make sure the mangoes are completely blended into a smoothie. Adjust the sweetness to your liking.
- Pour into glasses and serve immediately. You may opt to garnish the lassi with chunks of mango.
