The campaign, which will run from July 1-31, encourages Malaysians to avoid using single-use packaging in favour of meals prepared at home.
Single-use plastics, although small, have a significant impact, with millions of tons ending up in our oceans every year.
Throughout the duration of the campaign, four main videos will be uploaded to the My Resipi Facebook page with the objective of informing viewers about the benefits of home-prepared meals, including healthier lifestyles, a greener planet, and strengthened community bonds.

The benefits of packing your own home-cooked meals include:
- Better health: balanced, portion-controlled meals with fresh fruits and vegetables promote long-term health.
- Environmental conservation: reducing single-use plastic and packaging waste helps minimise environmental impact.
- Financial savings: repurposing leftovers can lead to significant cost savings and reduced food waste.
- A deeper connection with the community: sharing recipes and meal ideas fosters social connections and builds a supportive community around home-cooked meals.
In line with the initiative, MyResipi will also be holding a competition to reward Malaysians for their creativity.
Those who pride themselves on the aesthetics of their lunchboxes or knowledge of clever recipes can share them in the comments sections of the four main videos and stand a chance to win some culinary prizes.
Each week during the campaign, one winner will be chosen to receive a Le Nona cookware set worth RM1,234, which will consist of either an Italian Bloom Dinnerware set (two winners each) or a Jumbo Rose Wok Set (two winners each).
To participate, visit the MyResipi Facebook page, find the contest video post, and share the names of the menus and photos of food box decorations in the comments.
