Located right in the middle of happening Changkat Bukit Bintang, this new eatery aims to provide patrons with a vibrant mix of hospitality, culture and camaraderie without having to fly to Dublin.
“We want to share our love for Irish-American cuisine with everyone. We love the vibe and atmosphere of Irish pubs and wanted to bring that unique experience to our community,” The Olive Tree Group general manager Navindran Inthiraratnam told FMT Lifestyle.
He shared that their chef, Yogi @ Uvendran Reddy, has more than 15 years of experience cooking Irish food, and brings his authenticity and creativity to every dish.
Of course, it wouldn’t truly be Irish food without whiskey: The GoodFellas Kitchen + Bar prides itself as the first Jameson flagship bar in Malaysia.
To that end, Jameson Irish Whiskey is an integral component of the dining experience here, providing its distinctive kick to many of the food and cocktail offerings.

Step inside and you’ll immediately notice that this place is inspired by the pubs of Ireland, albeit with a contemporary edge. Green is everywhere, from the wall-panel highlights to the chair cushions.
Beer barrels form the bases of tables, while its well-stocked bar area is lit up by miniature chandeliers.
The venue also features an indoor stage, which hosts live acts and DJs, in addition to its resident band. It aims to feature a different style of music every day of the week.
Naturally, diners can expect a rich selection of Irish-inspired food and drinks. Many of the dishes are named after famed characters and tough guys from films and television.
The pizza selection, for example, includes the Frank Lucas (“American Gangster”), Tommy Devito (“Goodfellas”), and Tony Soprano (“The Sopranos”).

Start your meal with the Leprechaun’s Pork Lollipops, a delicious serving of marinated pork belly spiced with jalapeno jam, pickled onions and Jameson BBQ sauce.
At first glance, the Crab, Whiskey and Fries may sound like a strange combination, but they come together well in a tasty trinity.
Another highlight is the Pork Donut, which combines a chorizo jalapeno patty with pork bacon, white cheddar, blue cheese crumble, and a side of tangy refried beans.
Those seeking a bigger meal may want to go for the burgers. A popular choice here is the Al Capone: hearty beef with tomatoes, whiskey sweet onions, and Jameson aioli. It may be named after a mob, but the only crime it commits is first-degree deliciousness!

Drinkers will also enjoy the wide selection of beverages available. Go for the signature Irish-inspired cocktails, specially crafted to provide a true taste of the Emerald Isle.
You can’t go wrong with the Sunshine in Ireland (Jameson with pineapple, egg white and lemon), or the Pot of Gold (Jameson, mint, honey and lemon).
FMT Lifestyle especially loves the Celtic Twilight: its smooth blend of Irish cream, hazelnut and chocolate bitters will certainly make it the “top of the night” for you!
Navindran hopes guests will feel welcomed and relaxed, enjoying not just the food and drinks but the entire atmosphere at The GoodFellas Kitchen + Bar.
“We want our customers to experience a genuine sense of warmth and hospitality, much like you would find in an authentic Irish pub,” he concluded.
