Starting Tuesday, Kites Restaurant at Glenmarie Hotel & Golf Resort invites you to embark on a culinary journey celebrating the spirit of Ramadan.

Step into the newly revamped restaurant with its soft, golden hues, and the tantalising aroma will invite you into a world where culinary craftsmanship meets hospitality.

Crafted by executive chef Fadzil Arshad, the Selera Kampung buffet boasts no fewer than 188 dishes that capture the essence of homestyle cooking.

The delightful array pays homage to centuries-old culinary traditions, including cherished family recipes from senior sous chef Muhammad Haniff Ahmad Sukri.

From ikan patin masak tempoyak and sotong sumbat masak lemak to freshly grilled seafood and traditional Malay kuih, the spread is designed to captivate your senses while reminding you of your grandmother’s cooking.

The star of the show has to be the barbecued whole lamb with biryani. Carved before your eyes and served with four sauces including the obligatory mint sauce, the meat is flavourful and melt-in-your-mouth tender.

Don’t be surprised if you find yourself going for seconds – or even thirds!

Other must-try dishes include the fish head curry, beef rendang, and prawn sambal. Fresh, spicy and bursting with flavour, pair them with fluffy white rice or flavourful biryani, and your plate will be empty before you know it.

The assorted kerabu station, featuring over 20 types of Malay-style salad, is another highlight. From beef and seafood to the more traditional ulam and young papaya kerabu, this spread promises something for every palate.

Outdoors, live cooking stations further elevate the experience.
