Well, here’s some good news for those in the Klang Valley: VegFest is back in town for its fourth iteration!
Organised by Veg-Hub, a premier online plant-based marketplace, Malaysia’s only curated plant-based festival has drawn tens of thousands of visitors over the years.
Veg-Hub founder and CEO Gulshan Rai attributes VegFest’s success to the opportunities it grants to local brands.
“Our festival has opened up the pathway for businesses to network and synergise, while bringing together the vegan and vegetarian community,” she said.
Held at Nu Sentral Mall in Kuala Lumpur from today until Sunday, VegFest 4.0 plays host to around 65 vegetarian, vegan and plant-based brands, including NourishMe and Energize by YoBros.

Speaking with FMT Lifestyle, NourishMe founder Alexandra Prabaharan shared that this is her brand’s first collaboration with VegFest.
“Since our food targets vegans and vegetarians, we thought this would be a great opportunity for the market to discover our products and services,” she said.
NourishMe launches its Hawt Mama Hummus line at the festival, with delectable flavours such as tom yam, sambal hijau, and chilli crisp ready for the sampling.
Also up for grabs are its bestselling Chocolate Bliss Balls and Cashew Bliss Balls. Yum!
In addition, visitors are invited to sign up for NourishMe’s Plant Power Cleanse programme, which aims to detox the body with five days’ worth of healthy meals.
Meanwhile, Vikneswaran Kuppan from Energize by YoBros, a plant-based grocery store, told FMT Lifestyle he has been following VegFest from day one and is excited to be part of the lineup this year.

Don’t miss Energize’s delicious and nutritious tempeh chips and mushroom rendang, and go home with some self-care products such as bamboo combs and toothbrushes.
Chocolate lovers will also want to make a pit stop at Energize’s booth to get their hands on vegan chocolates imported from the United Kingdom.
So, what else can visitors look forward to during this three-day event? Pick up some crucial recipes and tips from culinary school Le Cordon Bleu Sunway, the festival’s education partner.
Other highlights include sustainable-living seminars, consultations with nutritionists, inspirational talks by wellness coaches, and a “Sunday Funday” for kids!
