PETALING JAYA:
Adding to their Guinness World Record achievement for the “largest online video chain of people performing football kick-ups” in March, Wonda Coffee, the leading ready-to-drink coffee brand in the country, has broken another world record for the “longest magazine”.

In collaboration with Marketing Magazine Malaysia, the special-edition September issue, produced in an accordion style, measures 715.2cm in length from cover to cover when fully opened.

This feat was conceptualised to create a “kopi tarik” magazine that would surpass the previous record holder measuring 487.7cm.

Etika vice-president of marketing Amy Gan said the Guinness World Records recognition is yet another stepping stone towards solidifying Wonda Coffee’s legacy.

“Over the past decade, Wonda Coffee has proudly stood as an innovative brand. From pioneering Malaysia’s most-loved ‘kopi tarik in a can’ to setting the world record during the World Cup this year, we are thrilled to hold the world record for ‘Tarik the Magazine’, the longest magazine published.

“As we celebrate this milestone, we are inspired to continue our journey towards making a more significant presence, leaving a footprint in the world and an indelible mark on the global coffee scene,” she said.

Gan believes this was possible as they have a partner that aligns with their vision for innovation and breaking boundaries.

“As a brand that constantly pushes the limits in the marketing industry, we are grateful to be able to stand hand-in-hand with Marketing Magazine Malaysia and celebrate this achievement together. We hope for and look forward to more industry-first collaborations with them.”

Harmandar Singh, founder and editor-in-chief of Marketing Magazine Malaysia, said Wonda Coffee’s creativity and innovative spirit align perfectly with their own vision.

“Building upon our previous partnership when we sent out 3,000 personalised magazine covers to the country’s advertising and marketing-industry movers, Marketing Magazine Malaysia recognises Wonda Coffee’s ability to transform ideas into groundbreaking experiences that reach the people of Malaysia.

“We are looking forward to what Wonda Coffee will think of next,” he said.

The presentation of the award by Guinness World Record adjudicator Sonia Ushirogochi was held at Tiffin at the Yard in Kuala Lumpur. Here, Wonda Coffee also unveiled a fresh new look for their range of products with the same brand promise of delivering coffee that tastes “just brewed”.
