Here’s a question: if you’re in Seremban and are looking for a hearty meal, what would you keep your eye out for? For most people, the answer would likely be Seremban beef noodles!

While there’s a very popular beef noodle stall at Pasar Besar Seremban, here’s an alternative spot worth checking out: Quinn Beef Noodle, located in Kemayan Square, just 10 minutes away from the wet market.

One point in Quinn’s favour? It is air-conditioned, which makes it the preferred option for families with young children.

The menu here is a one-page affair – choose between the soup and dry version; add on beef innards if they’re to your liking; or simply slurp down the beef ball soup.

This writer went for the dry mixed beef noodle, the soup version, and a bowl of beef balls, all priced at RM10 each.

Regardless of the version you go for, the beef noodle is served with their unique “lai fun” made of rice flour. It’s like a cross between Penang laksa noodles and “loh shi fun” (or “mousetail”) noodles.

The texture is, shall we say, interesting, and soaks up just the right amount of gravy/soup.

If you’re a fan of this iconic Seremban dish, you won’t be disappointed: the beef and innards here are tender and flavourful, with the dry noodles accompanied by a thick gravy that ups the enjoyability factor.

The beef ball soup, too, is a must-order – they’re tasty with a nice “bite”, and go really well with the homemade chilli sauce that packs a punch!

All in all, Quinn Beef Noodle makes for the perfect alternative to the wet market stall. And if you find the small portions here indeed too small, you can’t go wrong by adding another order of beef balls to share!
