Catering to an intimate party of two to larger groups of five, patrons can look forward to enjoying their meal in an elegant space.
For the unfamiliar, the hotel opened its doors in December last year and is located approximately 40km from Kuala Lumpur city centre.
So, what gastronomical delights can patrons look forward to?
Different types of scrumptious seafood for starters – bamboo clams, tiger prawns, flower crabs, squid flowers and slipper lobsters. So, prepare to get your hands messy and your stomachs satisfyingly full!
The meal also comes with a homemade sauce, and patrons can opt between buttermilk, Kam Heong or sambal lemon.
Speaking with FMT Lifestyle, Naresh Kumar Sahadevan, 37, the food and beverage manager of Courtyard, shared that the Shell Out Seafood Dinner was introduced as the hotel wanted to introduce something different for the dinner crowd.

Meanwhile, the executive chef of Courtyard, Arfizan Ab Rahim, 41, added that besides seafood, patrons can also enjoy a selection of appetisers and desserts from their mini buffet. He hopes that these, as well as their warm hospitality, will create a unique dining experience.
To kickstart the gastronomic adventure, pick from their selection of appetisers such as kerabu and salads. The Mediterranean Salad is particularly delightful, a combination of crunchy capsicum and chickpeas, with tangy feta cheese adding a nice flavour.
Then, it’s on to the highlight of the evening – a heaping platter of the good stuff that is certainly a dream come true for seafood lovers. To keep your clothes clean and to ensure that your hands do not get (too) messy, plastic bibs and gloves are provided. Time to dig in!

The bamboo clams – named as such because its shell resembles a bamboo plant – have a sweet chewy texture, with a briny taste that isn’t overpowering. These pair well with the rich and silky buttermilk sauce.
Meanwhile, the flower crabs are full of juicy meat and nicely complemented with the flavourful Kam Heong sauce.
The tiger prawns, too, go well with the Kam Heong sauce and it is certainly satisfying to peel them open to savour the firm and flavourful meat within – absolutely delicious!

Next, the slipper lobsters. Don’t be fooled or put off by its name, however, as the crustaceans have a mildly sweet meat. The meal is served with hot white rice and mixed vegetables.
Finally, end on a sweet note with a selection of desserts such as rainbow cake, crème brulee, cheesecake, pandan cake as well as caramel and raspberry puddings, among others.

The rainbow cake is moist with a decadent white chocolate topping and tastes as good as it looks. The crème brulee, too, is luscious, with a smooth and silky texture and just the right level of sweetness. The pandan cake is soft and fragrant, with the desiccated coconut on top adding a lovely nutty flavour.
Meanwhile, the cake pops will bring out the inner child in you! Each stick is decorated with brightly coloured sprinkles, chocolate rice or peanuts. The cake, rolled into balls and coated with chocolate, may be slightly indulgent and sweet – but an occasional treat is good for the soul!
