The Grange by the Lake, located next to the Bukit Cerakah Forest Reserve in Shah Alam, Selangor, exudes a chic vibe while offering delectable cuisine from all over the world at reasonable prices.
Frequented by residents of Setia Eco Park, this establishment – also known as The Grange Restaurant & Bar – caters to all tastes.
From juicy steaks to fragrant rendang, every dish is thoughtfully prepared by chef Yazid to delight your palate.

The eatery also offers visitors a chance to immerse themselves in a serene setting: it is situated at D’Network, the world’s first solar-powered hybrid food and beverage hub.
Overlooking a stunning view that includes a fountain in the centre of a lake, guests can marvel at a captivating display of moving lights and water features while enjoying their meal.
So, what’s on the menu? Items here range from affordable pastas priced at under RM30 to more indulgent dishes like the Homestead Lamb Steak (RM52).
On the higher end is the London Broil (RM98) – Australian wagyu broiled to perfection, resulting in succulent, tender meat with a rich, buttery flavour.

Served with charred sweetcorn and crunchy capsicum, this dish has a bold and complex flavour profile. The arugula adds a slightly bitter note, while the tangy chimichurri sauce ties it all together.
Other meat dishes include that classic British offering, Bangers & Mash. Forget the sausages from your supermarket that are packed with fillers – these premium smoked chicken cheese sausages have a high protein content and are made with fragrant herbs.
They are complemented by creamy mashed potatoes and a rich brown gravy, resulting in a meal that satisfies both the soul and the stomach.

Then there’s the braised lamb shank, another signature dish. Cooked to perfection and served with gravy, pumpkin, and mashed potatoes or fries, the tender meat falls effortlessly off the bone and melts in your mouth.
If you’re a pizza fan, you’ll not be wanting at The Grange by the Lake. The Truffle Decadence pizza boasts a delicious combination of parmesan and mozzarella.
The end result? Cheesy goodness that’s neither overpowering nor too mild, complemented by the crispy thin crust, while truffle oil gives it an earthy flavour that is absolutely addictive.

For spice lovers, the one-of-a-kind Sambalicious thin-crust pizza contains the chef’s special sweet sambal, fish, prawns, and anchovies, all topped with a copious amount of cheese. It’s a fusion extravaganza!
Watching your weight? Well, you’re probably at the wrong place – but nevertheless, the special salmon salad is the way to go.
Drizzled with in-house soy-vinegar dressing and topped with a generous serving of the seafood, this is a light and refreshing option.
Meanwhile, if you’re looking for a local touch, the Grange Spicy Spaghetti is a unique creation by Yazid that combines Malaysian flavours with Italian techniques and ingredients.

Mushrooms, leeks, and chicken are topped with an oozing onsen egg and crispy anchovies, with a side of chilli flakes to up the spiciness factor.
Other local items on the menu include nasi lemak ayam rendang, village-style fried rice, and – until April 27 – the Malaysian Delight Set (RM35).
This Ramadan special set menu comes with a choice of roast percik chicken, spicy grilled perch, mutton curry, or the amusingly named Beef Rendang Terlagi-Lagi, plus a drink of your choice.

Of course, no meal is complete without dessert to wash it all down with. To that end, the Grange’s gelato bar boasts an array of unique flavours – although it’s hard to resist the classic chocolate, a heavenly treat for adults and kids alike.
Other items to please sweet-tooths are the creme brulee and, for a caffeine boost, the affogato.
Once you’re done with your meal, don’t forget to take advantage of where you are by exploring the area. Take a stroll in the nearby pet-friendly park, let your kids enjoy themselves at the nearby playground, or simply relax by the lake while sipping on your favourite beverage.
