PETALING JAYA:
MN Holdings Bhd is partnering with China’s Shanghai DC-Science Co Ltd (DCS) to develop a high-performance data centre to be located in Sedenak Tech Park, Johor, with an estimated value of over US$600 million (RM2.65 billion).

In a statement today, MN Holdings said the partnership was sealed with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between its wholly-owned unit Mutu Nusantara Sdn Bhd and DCS on April 1, in conjunction with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s just-concluded maiden visit to China.

Spanning 8.09 hectares, the data centre is DCS’ first high-performance data centre outside China.

“Phase 1 of the project is slated to begin development this year, and scheduled to commence operations in the first half of 2024,” it said.

According to the underground utilities and substation engineering specialist, the latest partnership with DCS will provide a boost to MN Holdings’ future orderbook, which stood at RM325.9 million as of Jan 20.

“Details on the scope of work will be finalised upon the signing of the supplementary agreement between DCS and MN Holdings,” it added.
