Jovian Mandagie appointed executive vice-chairman by lingerie maker

The prime minister’s son-in-law’s appointment takes effect immediately.

Jovian Mandagie, the son-in-law to the prime minister, has been appointed  the new executive vice-chairman of lingerie maker Caely Holdings effective immediately.

The fashion designer is currently the CEO of HEYHO Sdn Bhd which produces a variety of ready-to-eat meals and Dapur Mandagie, his signature sambal recipe, The Edge Markets reported.

Citing a Bursa Malaysia filing, the portal reported that Jovian began his career in the fashion industry in 2006 before expanding the business as a bridal designer and wedding planner.

In 2021, Jovian was appointed by Cheetah Malaysia as its new creative director.

Jovian’s appointment as the vice-chairman comes a week after he launched the fourth Jovian Selcare Pharmacy outlet located in Kompleks PKNS Shah Alam.

The company is a joint venture between Jovian Pharma Sdn Bhd and Selcare Pharmacy.

Caely Holdings also announced the appointment of lawyer Sandraruben Neelamagham as its new independent director effective today.

Sandraruben is a fellow with The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and Malaysia Institute of Arbitrators (MIArb).
