This is a particularly sophisticated air purifier, capable of filtering odours as well as dust, pollen and allergens, germs, bacteria and viruses.

Effective within a surface area of up to 200 m2, it is intended for public spaces such as hospitals, retirement homes, shops or open-plan offices.

The AiroDoctor is equipped with four levels of filtration. A pre-filter captures everything that is visible to the eye, such as hair or dust, while an activated carbon filter blocks the smallest particles and harmful gases.

A high-efficiency air filter (HEPA) removes ultra-fine particles such as bacteria and viruses as well as pollen and dust mites. Finally, a photocatalytic titanium filter destroys organic particles using a chemical reaction triggered by light and with the help of released oxygen radicals.

This is where the UV LEDs that eliminate viruses, including Covid-19, come in. The manufacturer guarantees that 99.9% of the bacteria and viruses in the air are destroyed.

The AiroDoctor retails for US$4000 a unit.
