JDT supporters’ club deputy president Fadzli Sapie said 15 buses departed from the Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium in Larkin at 8am.
“There are many more buses from other supporters’ clubs heading to Bukit Jalil to rock the national stadium. We have told them to be on their best behaviour and avoid any problems while there,” he said.
JDT supporters are confident that the Southern Tigers will bring home the Malaysia Cup this year.
Kamariah Kadir, 47, who arrived as early as 6.30am, said she expects the Hector Bidoglio-led squad to win 2-1 and hopes there will not be any unsavoury incidents tonight.
Echoing the same, 69-year-old Awang Lazaman believes victory will be JDT’s given their impressive record against The Red Giants.
“I’m sure we won’t return home empty-handed because JDT’s record against Selangor is good, so the opportunity is there,” he said.
JDT, Malaysia Cup champions in 2017 and 2019, were left disappointed in the final last year when they lost 2-0 to Kuala Lumpur City FC.
33-time champions Selangor last reached the final in 2016 when they lost to Kedah.
