Kento Momota’s ex-coach Izuan Ibrahim dies

KOTA BHARU:
Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) junior coach Izuan Ibrahim, 35, died at Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia Kubang Kerian yesterday.

Kelantan Badminton Association President Dr Naharuddin Hashim said Izuan passed away at 7.30pm after being admitted last Thursday.

“He was admitted to Kubang Kerian after complaining of a headache and an examination revealed that he had intra-cranial bleeding,” Naharuddin said.

Dr Naharuddin said Izuan was buried at the Kampung Banggol Muslim Cemetery, Jalan Pantai Cahaya Bulan at about 11pm tonight.

He said Izuan is survived by his wife Siti Marsyhtah Muhammad and three children.

Izuan gained fame as the youth coach for Kento Momota after Japan emerged as Thomas Cup champions in 2014.
