PETALING JAYA:
All national football teams, namely Harimau Malaya, Under-23, Under-19 and the National Football Development Programme (PPBN) squads will adopt a uniform game and philosophy soon.

Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) president Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim said all the coaches involved, Tan Cheng Hoe (Harimau Malaya), Ong Kim Swee (U-23), Bojan Hodak (U-19) and Lim Teong Kim (PPBN) would have to adhere to the tactical plan and strategy formulated by FAM technical director Peter De Roo.

“Peter will be analysing the game suitable to the physique of our players to ensure all teams have the same game play. All coaches are required to sit with Peter to discuss their plans and status of their respective squads every week,” he told a meet-the-fans session in Subang Jaya yesterday.

He was replying to a question from one of the 200 local football supporters present at the dialogue session, who enquired about the different game play and tactics adopted by the different national teams.

The Tunku Mahkota of Johor (TMJ) also said FAM viewed match-fixing and corruption in football seriously as they gave a negative impact to the development of football in the country.

Also discussed during the two-hour session were issues on creating feeder clubs, recruiting naturalised players as well as the online sale of Malaysia League tickets.
