Kuala Lumpur traffic investigation and enforcement department chief Zamzuri Isa said the incidents took place around 3.30am on May 23 but a viral video of the stunts only surfaced on May 31.
The 44-second video showed several motorcyclists with pillion riders performing dangerous stunts along Jalan Raja Laut, Jalan Tun Razak, and Jalan P Ramlee.
“The first arrest was made at about 3.20am on June 1 involving a 20-year-old male motorcyclist and his 16-year-old female pillion rider,” he said in a statement.
A second operation at 12.54am today led to the arrest of two more male motorcyclists, aged 17 and 16, together with their female pillion riders, aged 18 and 15.
Police believe all six were involved in the viral video.
The six suspects were released on bail after giving their statements since four of them were minors.
Further investigations are ongoing under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving.
