PN secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan said dissatisfaction should not be aired in public but brought to the respective party channels for discussion and resolution through internal consultation within the coalition.
“PN reminds all leaders and members of its component parties not to make any unwarranted or arbitrary criticism of other PN component parties, whether through the media or any other channels,” he said in a statement.
“Grievances should be channelled to their respective party channels, which will then be brought up, discussed, and decided upon through consensus within the coalition.”
Takiyuddin said the PN leadership was now focussed on addressing national issues affecting the people, rather than internal disputes.
He added that internal problems would be handled quietly and with caution.
While he made no reference to any specific incident, his statement follows a suggestion by Sura assemblyman Tengku Fakhruddin Fauzi of PAS that Bersatu leave PN over recent expulsions and suspensions involving several party members.
Tengku Fakhruddin subsequently said his remarks were his personal view and did not represent PAS.
Bersatu has carried out a series of expulsions and suspensions since May 8, citing breaches of party constitution, ethics, and conduct. The internal tensions also saw Hamzah Zainudin removed as deputy president.
