State Umno chief Jalaluddin Alias, a senior exco member, said the withdrawal of their support meant they had automatically resigned as executive councillors.
“Today, I ordered all Umno members of the exco to return any assets at their disposal, including official vehicles, to the state government,” he told reporters at the Negeri Sembilan Umno headquarters in Seremban.
The four Umno members of the executive council were Jalaluddin, Senaling assemblyman Ismail Lasim, Palong assemblyman Mustapha Nagoor, and Linggi assemblyman Faizal Ramli.
Negeri Sembilan Barisan Nasional, which has 14 assemblymen, claimed to have the numbers to form a new state government with the backing of Perikatan Nasional’s five representatives.
Pakatan Harapan has 17 assemblymen, including Aminuddin.
However, Aminuddin said yesterday that the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan wanted him to remain in the top post until the issue of his majority support is resolved.
