PUTRAJAYA: James Chai, a former aide to ex-economy minister Rafizi Ramli, arrived at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters here to give his statement as part of an ongoing investigation.
Chai, who arrived at about 9.59am, did not stop to speak to the press and entered the headquarters in a white Proton Persona.
MACC previously issued a public search notice for Chai and offered to cover his travel costs from the UK, where he now works.
The notice, issued on March 4, did not specify the reason he is being sought. However, it came after an investigation into alleged misconduct linked to a RM1.1 billion government deal with chipmaker Arm Holdings signed in March last year.
