PETALING JAYA:
Two senior officials of the survey and mapping department are expected to be charged next week with misappropriation of funds, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief Azam Baki said.

Azam confirmed the matter while speaking at the MACC media awards night in Kuala Lumpur, reported Bernama. He said the pair would be charged on Wednesday or Thursday.

On March 4, he had said that investigations into the alleged misappropriation of funds involving two senior officers were in their final stages. He had earlier stated that the suspects were believed to have abused their positions by using approximately RM900,000 in funds from their workplace for personal benefit.
