JOHOR BAHRU:
Two women and 13 boys have been detained by police to assist in an investigation into a fight that broke out outside a secondary school in Bandar Selesa Jaya, Skudai, yesterday.

Iskandar Puteri police chief M Kumarasan said police received information on the incident at 12.45pm before detaining the suspects, aged between 12 and 37, in Nusa Bestari and Iskandar Puteri.

He said the fight is believed to have started after one of the suspects was slapped after school hours.

The women have been remanded for three days, while all the boys have been remanded for four days starting today to facilitate the investigation, he said in a statement.

The case is being investigated under Sections 147 and 323 of the Penal Code for rioting and voluntarily causing hurt, respectively.

Earlier, a 29-second video of the incident went viral on Facebook.
