PETALING JAYA:
MRT services on the Putrajaya line returned to normal this morning after Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd restored the power supply.

The service disruption occurred after a power cable theft incident near Damansara Damai station on March 3, Bernama reported.

Rapid Rail, in a statement, said it had discontinued the alternative train services and free shuttle buses provided.

Rapid Rail deployed 180 additional staff at affected stations and provided 20 free shuttle buses during the disruption period.

Rapid Rail is working with the police to identify the cable thieves.

Its auxiliary police have stepped up security monitoring of tracks and facilities.

Passengers are advised to contact Rapid KL’s customer service at 03-78852585 if they notice any suspicious activity around the tracks to prevent any disruption of services.
