PETALING JAYA:
PKR secretary-general Fuziah Salleh says activist Tamim Dahri Abdul Razak’s application to join the party will undergo its standard vetting process before any approval is granted.

She said the party received Tamim’s application on March 5.

“His application is new and requires screening. Several procedures must be completed after he submits the form before he can become a full-fledged member,” she told FMT.

On Friday, Tamim shared a screenshot on Facebook showing that he had submitted his application to join PKR through its official app.

The activist was previously arrested along with preacher Zamri Vinoth and several others over a planned rally last month outside the Sogo shopping mall against so-called “illegal” houses of worship.

The rally failed to materialise after police blocked it.
