GUA MUSANG: A 40-year-old man is feared drowned after being swept away by strong currents while trying to rescue his son from drowning in Sungai Lebir this evening.
Fire and rescue commander Nik Mohd Fakri Md Nawi said the man, Fakarudin Abdul Halim @ Awang, managed to rescue his son before being swept away by the river current.
Nik Fakri said strong river currents forced the search operation to be postponed until tomorrow morning.
